We had a great time with the awesome team from Wybenga & Partners!

These guys are very methodical in their approach to games – a bit more on the reserved side, being accountants they are the first to admit it! Regardless, they loved all the challenges and even though they requested very few solo challenges (that require anyone to stand up) the performances by those that did were incredible!

It was amazing how different challenges were better suited to certain teams. One team may not have been great at one challenge but then killed it in another and that seemed to be across the board for all teams.

Team 1 seemed to be the clear winners at the start, and they had a fantastic team camaraderie! That only unified all the other teams competitiveness against though! They did super-well but it seemed like all other teams were happy for anyone to win so long as it wasn’t the cocky team 1!

In the end it was team 4 that won the day! (Sorry team 1!).

Congratulations Team 4 and a big thanks to Kerrie and the whole team at Wybenga & Partners – we can honestly say it’s the most fun we’ve had with accountants! (yeah, you knew we were gonna sneak in an accountant joke somewhere 🙂 ).

Event: Classic Amazing Race

Players: Protiviti Consulting

Location: Sydney

The fantastic team at Protiviti consulting came together to play an exciting round of the Amazing Race around Sydney! With everyone there from the head honchos to the new grads, it was an awesome environment and atmosphere for the company to come together and have fun and learn more about each other outside the office!

While the teams starting off a little quiet, the banter and competitiveness soon began to shine as they faced off in the challenges. Twig Towers was an early favourite with a record-breaking tower that was over 2m tall!

Everyone had an exceptional time and the smiles and laughs at the end in the noisy pub showed a team well and truly united with a newly found appreciation for each other. So who won? Everyone!

A big thanks to Jonathan and Protiviti team, we can’t wait to see you all again!

Players: Rosemeadow Public School

Location: Wollongong

The HeyDay Bar in Wollongong was recently graced by the presence of the awesome staff from Rosemeadow Public School, oh, and us of course :), for a super fun session of Game Show!

Within minutes, everyone was pumped up and getting into every challenge, with the physical challenges provided some particularly hilarious entertainment – looking at you Oreo challenge!

Of special noteworthiness was Matt’s thrilling performance of a McAuley Caulken piece from Home Alone – WOW!

At the end of the day, it was the Blue Team that sang the victory song, congratulations!

A big thanks goes to Barbara and the whole Rosemeadow team – we absolutely love hosting you all and can’t wait for the next adventure!

Time to get out of the classroom and into some fun?

Event: Survivor

Players: Coca-Cola South Pacific

Location: Frog Hollow, Centennial Parklands, Sydney

Hosts: Josh & Brett

It was out to the Parklands with our mates from Coca-Cola for a fun-packed game of Survivor!

The team had been in a conference all day and definitely looked like they were a little drained! Luckily though, it only took a few mins for the anticipation of fun and games and lovely fresh winter air to perk everyone up!

Giant Jenga and the Giant Sling were clear favourites, while Balloon Centurion made everyone work in their teams to fit for survival and be the last standing!

After some hard fought rounds, it was Team 1 that emerged the champions! Congratulations!

Thanks to Rita and the team for an awesome time, we can’t wait to see you all again!

Event: Custom Amazing Race

Players: Oracle

Location: Sydney CBD

Hosts: Josh, Bella & Jamila

The out-of-towners in the group were treated to an especially beautiful day in Sydney – it was sunny and almost warm! No one quite new what to expect but, as always, as soon as we said go teams went from normal morning faces to game faces in 3.5seconds flat!

It was our Bard Challenge that really surprised our hosts this day – for a group of predominantly men the performances we watched as teams recited one of Shakespeare’s Sonnet’s from memory was incredible. They were told the best performances would receive bonus points and they certainly earned them!

This was a particularly funny closing ceremony! Teams were on the edge of their seats awaiting the final announcement and we used that excitement to our advantage building the tension only to cut to a commercial break just before announcing the winning team – classic stitch up…

Congratulations to team Cirrus for winning the day and a special thanks Maddie and the team at Oracle for an awesome event! We can’t wait to see you all again soon!

Event: Game Show

Players: Equinix

Location: Luna Park Grand Ballroom, Sydney

Hosts: Brett, Josh, Ryan, Skyler, Bella & Samm

With Equinix growing their team considerably, they wanted an event that could unite team members old and new and strengthen their relationships outside of the office. Game Show was a perfect choice!

One of the favourite elements was the “Would I Lie To You” game where teams get up and have to speak a truth or a lie and the room must decide whether their tall story is a truth or lie! It never fails to reveal some really interesting facts about some of the people in the room and always ends up with a lot of laughter!

The food challenges are always a winner too…

Reading quotes from films was another highlight with everyone committing 100% to their performances! It’s as if we had a room full of one of the actors!

Team 9 won out at the end, but it was so very close!

Thanks to Megan and the Equinix team for an awesome time! We hope to see you all again soon!

The amazing team from the Cerebral Palsy Alliance welcomed hosts Skyler and Jamila by chanting their names while fully dressed in team colours and ready to race…WOW just, WOW!

All but one team were tricked by the tangrams and as the first team sprinted off to the next challenge you could feel the competitive nature explode in everyone!

The Tim Tam Slam caused a bit of an upset when team Pink (who thought they were conquering the challenges) delivered a slower than expected result, much to the guffawing of all involved!

In fact, it was Team Blue that won the day with a stellar effort, while only three minutes separated the other teams!

A very special thank you to Suzy and the truly wonderful team at the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. You do amazing work every day and we’re so happy we could help you let your hair down and have some FUN!

Event: Hens Classic Amazing Race

Bride-to-be: Courtney

Location: Sydney CBD

Host: Skyler

Courtney’s group of hens were dressed to the nines as they rocked up to their Amazing Race in stunning Gatsby attire! You could see the competition brewing underneath those nice clothes though as the banter started early. It was the mums that were on fire though with some of the heaviest doses of innuendo-laden jokes and phallic paraphernalia at the ready!

The freezing cold weather didn’t stop the teams as they charged through the challenges including Tim Tam Slam that somehow turned into a sexual education lesson on swallowing (thanks Mum!) and some very outgoing D-types trying to lure in 5 police officers to a conga line! (unfortunately the cops weren’t keen – maybe next time?).

It was an extraordinarily close victory for “Bumpy Brides” excelling at the bonus challenges to just  win out over the “Court Crushers”!

Thanks for an absolutely awesome game Courtney, Taren and the gang, and a special thanks to Courtney’s Mum for her amazing banter and advice!
