Skyler gives us a rundown of his latest run-in with the law 🙂

WHAT ARE SOME MEMORABLE MOMENTS FROM THE EVENT?: 

All of the participants were highly competitive, and very much pointed out specific people when talking about DISC personalities. All got off to a very sluggish start with Tangrams, but eventually battled through, with most teams completing nearly every possible challenge.

WHICH CHALLENGE/S OR ELEMENTS DID THE TEAMS ENJOY THE MOST?: 

They all exclaimed at the end about the challenge of the pyramid/prism. Some teams had someone saying ‘we are massive failures’ to the bar staff when another team member finally figured it out!

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE EVENT?: 

At the end, I was checking one team, and a team had cracked ‘Taronga Zoo’ but had forgotten to take the photo, and as I said it to them, one lady got her phone out and yelled at her team “Right, someone get on all fours!” There was also a hectic rivalry between a few teams, some of which offered to bribe me (yep, they’re cops).

WHAT WAS THE NAME OF THE WINNING TEAM?: 

“The Deployment Westies + Mick”. Only 14 minutes between 1st and 5th place!

ANY OTHER NOTABLE MENTIONS?: 

I went to collect the box at the end, and someone had placed a huge bag of mulch or something in the box to hide it from other teams. So competitive 🙂

Event: Adventure Trivia

Players: Amobee

Location: Sydney CBD

Here’s Samm with the rundown from Amobee’s Adventure Trivia event with their awesome clients!

WHAT ARE SOME MEMORABLE MOMENTS FROM THE EVENT?: 

Teams were from different companies that were all clients of Amobee. They were all young and competitive but didn’t really know each other. They do a trivia night every quarter so were up for the competition. The night started with about 40 pizzas and beers and then got stuck into the question rounds. One guy got the tea bag hat game in about 3 seconds which is the fastest I’ve ever seen it happen.

WHICH CHALLENGE/S OR ELEMENTS DID THE TEAMS ENJOY THE MOST?: 

They loved the physical games! They got right into them! They also loved the riddles in the questions and the movie round. They had quite a few movie buffs.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE EVENT?: 

Watching all the great performances in the Movie Quote round. A lot of them knew the movies they were reading out so were able to act them in character and add accents etc

WHAT WAS THE NAME OF THE WINNING TEAM?: 

Team Ikon!

ANY OTHER NOTABLE MENTIONS?: 

The room was set up really cool with each table having an amazing cheese platter and a table centrepiece of blue lollies (their company colour). There were giant blue lollipops and blue M&M’s and jelly beans etc.

Event: Classic Amazing Race

Players: Monash University

We had an awesome time with the crew from Monash University! Here’s Antony’s with the rundown…

WHAT ARE SOME MEMORABLE MOMENTS FROM THE EVENT?: 

There were quite a few I imagine, but a really funny one was the tangram opening challenge. Struggle street on the square for all teams I had to give them clues! We all had a big laugh when I said “it’s all uphill from here folks” 🤣

WHICH CHALLENGE/S OR ELEMENTS DID THE TEAMS ENJOY THE MOST?: 

All of the teams seemed really responsive to all of the challenges. Hard to be specific about any which one as they just enjoyed the afternoon as a whole. Some teams were pretty gung ho on the sabotage mission whilst the the third team smashed the TTS (with three members only) and they were the ones who said “we chose not to photobomb, we’re not that sort of team”

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE EVENT?: 

closing ceremony. Highly competitive and engaged group and a total of ten minutes separated all three teams… wound up the winning team overall who happened to place last in the tts. They fell for the “you guys got the slowest time” so badly 🤣🤣

WHAT WAS THE NAME OF THE WINNING TEAM?:

Charlie’s Angels.

Event: Classic Amazing Race

Players: Body Wise

Location: Parramatta, Sydney

Hosts: Samm & Chris

This event was part of the launch of Rafael’s new personal training business called Body Wise. He had family and people he trains there.

Raf’s team conquered Twig Towers built the tallest tower at 210cm which is amazing. One team called “Leahs Victory” had a baby in a pram and they used her head for the mintie challenge because it was smallest so that gave them an advantage! (also, this is probably the first time we’ve seen this tactic!)

As always, it was the Tim Tam Slam and the thriller dances that provided the most entertainment. “Wonder Sisters” finished their video doing the famous zombie walk to camera. Raf was the only one who wanted to do it from his team so he did a very embarrassing solo dance – much to the enjoyment of everyone present 🙂

Congratulations to “Get Func’d” who won the day and got a whole pub of people to conga dance behind a stranger who had awesome dance moves and was doing the famous “cha” to the side each time!

Thanks to Raf for including us in his small business launch and to his wonderful family, friends and clients for an amazing time!

We had a blast with the Transport NSW team recently for an exciting Amazing Race!

This team were really into the personality discussions where we chat through the DiSC profiling method and the traits of each personality type. They had heaps of fun identifying each other and then seeing those traits come out during the games.

The competitiveness kicked off straight away with Twig Towers as every team discussed, planned and constructed their towers, eagerly eyeing off their competitors!

At the end of the day, it was team Ten Four that won the day which included Helen, the amazing organiser! It wasn’t rigged we swear!

Thanks to all involved, we can’t wait to see you all again for some more FUN!

Here’s Josh’s rundown of the blisteringly-paced Adventure Trivia game for the awesome team at Super Retail Group!

WHAT ARE SOME MEMORABLE MOMENTS FROM THE EVENT?: We only had 1.5hrs to bring the fun for this group so it moved a million miles an hour! The teams didn’t have an opportunity not to have fun! It was definitely a high energy event even though it is a mostly seated event. The game had an amazing mix of trivia, riddles, creativity and physical challenges.

WHICH CHALLENGE/S OR ELEMENTS DID THE TEAMS ENJOY THE MOST?: There was a really good amount of what a couple of people called ‘nerdy’ questions – and this group smashed them – some calling themselves self-confessed nerds!

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE EVENT?: During the Show Me The Movie round a team member from team Fire Twirlers was reading an excerpt from a script to the group so they could try and identify what movie it was from and right at the end, the last 4 words gave it away to her and the moment of realisation had the entire room in stitches! Her face beamed with excitement as it dawned on her.

WHAT WAS THE NAME OF THE WINNING TEAM?: The Tight Rope Walkers.

ANY OTHER NOTABLE MENTIONS?: There was a question about Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan and one person from the Fire Twirlers was clearly a fan of Tonya Harding jumping to her defence insisting the allegations against her were just that – allegations! It was all in good fun and the room had a great laugh.

Event: Game Show

Players: Australian Cricketer’s Association

Location: Little Paul’s, Albion, Brisbane

Hosts: Josh & Andrea

It was off to the amazing Little Paul’s restaurant in Albion, Brisbane, for an awesome night of games with the team from the Australia Cricketer’s Association!

With heaps of the team waking up at 4am that day to get to their work stuff so we were pretty amazed at just how much energy everyone had!

Speaking of, here’s Josh with a quick recap of one of the games;

“The ‘Would I Lie To You’ was very funny – one contestant literally talked on what he ate for breakfast that day, one told an extremely elaborate lie that was almost too crazy to be made up and one tripped himself up getting caught out on his lie because after a very very simple question he just crumbled!”

Perhaps not a surprise, the “Temper Tantrum” physical challenge was the most competitive of the night. With a room full of athletes and sports fans, that was a given right?

At the end of the night (and before the amazingly awesome looking italian food) it was Table 6 who won!
