6 Unique Party Venues In Sydney

Sydney has gotten a bad rap over the last few years with rising house prices, huge infrastructure projects making traffic and noise even more tricky and our lockout laws changing the late night fabric of the city. However it is a multicultural city that spans over 25kms made up of suburbs with their own diverse and distinctive personalities. If you are looking for a venue that reflects you, we’re sure you can find it here.

The Argyle

If you have some coin to spare there you will not be disappointed with The Argyle. Based in The Rocks in one of Sydney’s oldest buildings, you can not go past the combination of heritage architecture with ultra-modern food and cocktails. There are 5 bars situated on 2 levels within The Argyles complex that can cater for any size group.

Kirribilli Club

If you are looking for Harbour Views without the hassle of fighting for space underneath the Opera House, you’ll find the Kirribilli Club is the secret gem you wish you knew about earlier. The club is situated in Lavender Bay and can host intimate cocktail parties or gala balls. It is a prim and proper venue perfect for a high tea, baby shower and wedding.

Leadbelly Newtown

Leadbelly is a newly opened cocktail bar on King St that has taken over the former Cabaret Venue, The Vanguard. It is dark and moody with a stage for live music and an upstairs balcony perfect for those who want to escape the action. The venue is friendlier on the budget and still new enough to be our little secret.

Golden Age Cinema and Bar

The Golden Age Cinema and Bar is one of the few heritage cinemas remaining in Sydney. Built in the late 1940’s it’s Art Deco architecture makes it one glamourous location to host a themed event. The bar and cinema can be hired separately and you can hold screenings of films (classic or contemporary) to suit your needs. If you are wanting some old world charm and an excuse to wear some glamourous gowns, this is a great option for you.

The X Studio

The Cross isn’t what it used to be in good ways and in bad. But if you are looking to capture some of the excitement and charm of Kings Cross, look no further than The X Studio. Situated underneath the historic Coca Cola sign, its décor is darkly bohemian with two balconies and private viewing areas to the world outside. The X Studio has the facilities to host exclusive functions, cocktail networking evenings, private parties and even has a screening lounge to showcase products and brands, fashion launches, TVCs and film premieres.
