How Starlight Amazing Race works
The Starlight Children’s Foundation believes that fun fights fear and wins every time. Our mission is to bring you some of the same magic in this Amazing Race style team building adventure. With Starlight themed challenges designed to bring out your inner child, this game is all about having fun while supporting Australia’s Children’s Charity.
The game begins with an entertaining Opening Ceremony hosted by one of our professional actor hosts. They explain the feel-good task of the day and get the group into teams. A giant hands-on puzzle is the first challenge you’ll be faced with, and then you’re off and racing.
Each team will need to decide the best route to take to complete each checkpoint. Along the way you’ll complete a creative Captain Starlight costume challenge, test your memory with our balloon animal flash card game, taste your way to victory with our Australiana food relay, and be tempted by our Secret Challenge envelope. And that’s just some of the fun!
Optional bonus challenges will see your team get up close and personal with the public in an attempt to earn bonus points. Add the elements of Lady Luck and a sneaky sabotage mission and we’ve just turned your next team building event into a game you can’t stop talking about. With a portion of your event cost being donated to Starlight, your team can play knowing you’re supporting a great charity at the same time.
Once teams have completed all their checkpoint challenges you make your way to the final destination. In our Closing Ceremony our hosts reveal the top placing teams for the Starlight themed checkpoint challenges, as well as any notable bonus points. It’s hard to know where you’re placed, bringing in all the suspense of a true Amazing Race.
Finally, the winning team is revealed and crowned victorious, receiving awesome medals to celebrate their much-deserved win. The Starlight Children’s Foundation Amazing Race is a corporate social responsibility event with big impact!

I organised the amazing race for a Hens party and what a blast it was! The challenges were fun, cheeky and exciting and bought out the competitive side in all of us. The Great Race hosted a double hen’s party for my friends (in Sydney). It was beyond amazing. Organising the race was so easy and they really listened to all of my requests – making the event Bride vs Bride with larger groups, taking into the girls’ competitive nature and emphasising the little ways to cheat. The day itself was fantastic. It was lightly raining but ponchos were provided. Everyone was set up for a day of fun by our host, Skylar. He did a fantastic job of making everyone welcome and setting the mood. My team lost by only a few points and I can really say that this didn’t dampen the mood at all. What an adventure 🙂 🙂 Thank you so so much for everything. The brides and all the hens guests had so much fun!

We did a Great Race as part of a hen’s night and it was a terrific day. Completely exceeded my expectations!! Very well organised and a lot of planning had been done to make it a fun interactive day. We all had such a great time. I definitely recommend. Our host Gabe was hilarious, full of energy and make sure we had smiles on our faces all day. Thanks Gabe and the Great Race team! Top day!!
