The Game
The Apprentice is a unique indoor team building game based on the TV Show where you get to create, market, and pitch your own cereal product!
We can tailor the activity to suit your own brand or products to encourage engagement and innovation in a fun and totally different way.

We require a private indoor venue with room to address the entire group for the briefing and final pitch presentations; this could be your offices, a conference centre or function space – ask us for suggestions! Teams may then break into separate areas to plan and develop their pitch.

How Apprentice works
Inspired by the T.V. show, the Apprentice will challenge the group to work creatively as you design and pitch a breakthrough brand of breakfast cereal to a team of “Woles” Executives! You’ll need to use every trick in the book to impress the judges as you work against the clock in the fastest product development and pitch process your organisation has ever been a part of.
The game begins with an entertaining brief to The Apprentices which introduces the task. During this brief we also touch on the popular DISC personality profiling method which talks about the importance of the different roles within a team. This is delivered in a humorous and entertaining way and arms teams with information that will assist you in your ability to communicate, work together cohesively, and recognise that everyone has something to bring to the table.
The group will then be split into smaller teams and just like on the TV show you decide the company name for your opponents! Whether you are naughty or nice, teams will have to run with the name they are given and make it work. Then it’s time to start brainstorming! Using materials and ingredients from our inspiration and tasting tables, you actually get to create your own cereal and packaging! You will have to transform a blank cereal box, tube, bucket, jar or bag into eye-catching branding that appeals to your chosen target market. Along with the product you need to create a social media marketing campaign and app. Teams are encouraged to think big and bold; innovation and creativity will be the trump card in this game.
The Apprentice’s will have to stick to the strict deadline and be ready to present the product, brand and app in a final pitch in front of the entire group. Failure truly is no option and you’ll be amazed at what your colleagues are capable of! The team that has the total package from a product, marketing & pitch perspective will win the day. The Apprentice is a great way to get your team thinking outside the box in a real work scenario that counts for nothing but fun!

The Great Race hosted a double hen’s party for my friends (in Sydney). It was beyond amazing. Organising the race was so easy and they really listened to all of my requests – making the event Bride vs Bride with larger groups, taking into the girls’ competitive nature and emphasising the little ways to cheat. The day itself was fantastic. It was lightly raining but ponchos were provided. Everyone was set up for a day of fun by our host, Skylar. He did a fantastic job of making everyone welcome and setting the mood. My team lost by only a few points and I can really say that this didn’t dampen the mood at all. What an adventure 🙂 🙂 Thank you so so much for everything. The brides and all the hens guests had so much fun!

We did a Great Race as part of a hen’s night and it was a terrific day. Completely exceeded my expectations!! Very well organised and a lot of planning had been done to make it a fun interactive day.
