Team Building & Corporate Activities Geelong
Most team building gets an eye-roll the moment it’s announced. Great Race is what happens when you stop accepting that. We run corporate team days for Geelong businesses and conferences who want their staff to genuinely enjoy it. Since 2009, every event has been led by professional actors: trained performers who know how to hold a room and get the whole group involved, from the front-runners to the reluctant ones. We’re fully mobile, so we come to Geelong and run the day wherever suits you.
Team Building Activities in Geelong
From Central Geelong to the Corio Bay foreshore, the city gives us genuinely great terrain to work with. Every one of our team building activities can run right here.
Classic Amazing Race Geelong
Our most popular activity and the one people keep coming back to. Teams split up, take a map and a set of cryptic clues, and head out to navigate Geelong’s streets and precincts. Each checkpoint delivers a new challenge: an eating competition, a construction task, a cryptic puzzle, or an unexpected detour. It’s competitive, adventurous, and puts the city’s character to work in a way that gets teams genuinely caught up in the moment. The Geelong Waterfront, the arts precinct along Little Malop Street, and the walkable CBD all make excellent ground for it, and the start point, finish point, and duration are fully customisable.
Beach Amazing Race Geelong
For teams who want to take it to the water’s edge, the Beach Amazing Race is one of our most memorable formats. Geelong’s waterfront runs right along Corio Bay, and this version gets your group out of the office and onto the foreshore around Eastern Beach and Steampacket Gardens for a series of outdoor puzzles and challenges. It’s scenic, active, and a completely different energy from a standard city race.
Game Show Geelong
When you need to stay indoors, the Game Show brings the same competitive energy to any private venue. Teams compete across challenges drawn from Wheel of Fortune, Sale of the Century, The Price is Right, and a music and movie sound round, hosted by a professional actor who keeps the heat on from start to finish. It works in a function room, a conference space, or anywhere with tables and floor space.
Taskmaster Geelong
Based on the hit TV show, Taskmaster throws up genuinely absurd creative challenges where there’s no obvious right answer and the results are consistently hilarious. Your host plays the Taskmaster role in full, judging every attempt with complete authority. Fast, unpredictable, and it tends to reveal surprising things about people.
Minute To Win It Geelong
Fast-paced games using everyday objects: loud, inclusive, and surprisingly difficult. Works at any scale and in any indoor venue. One of the best ways to break the ice fast across a large or mixed group.
Survivor Geelong
Inspired by the immunity challenges from the hit TV show, Survivor pits teams against each other in a series of physical and mental challenges. One goal: be the last tribe standing. Runs indoors or outdoors for groups that want real competitive stakes.
Who Is This For?
Geelong’s economy spans manufacturing, health, insurance, and a fast-growing professional services sector, and the HR managers and team leaders organising events across it face a familiar problem: getting a team to actually look forward to a team building day. If the last one involved a personality quiz or a trust fall nobody asked for, we understand. We’re here to change it.
Great Race events suit any kind of corporate group. Our corporate activities work for EOFY celebrations, Christmas parties, new starter onboarding, conference breakout sessions, quarterly team days, leadership offsites, and project milestones. There’s no particular skill, fitness level, or personality type required. The activities are built so everyone finds something to genuinely enjoy, and our professional actor hosts make sure that includes the sceptics.
Any Group Size, Any Venue
All our activities scale, from smaller team days to large company-wide events. For indoor formats, the Game Show, Taskmaster, and Minute To Win It run in any private venue: your office, a conference room, or a function space. For outdoor activities like the Amazing Race,
Central Geelong and the Corio Bay waterfront serve as the venue. No separate booking needed. We come to you, bring everything required, and run the day. We also run team building in Melbourne and right across Australia, so multi-site teams get the same event wherever they’re based.
Why Great Race?
The short answer is our hosts. Every Great Race event is run by professional actors. Not a colleague with a microphone or a generic event facilitator, but someone trained to hold a room, manage energy, and get reluctant participants genuinely involved. It changes the character of the entire day.
Beyond that, we’ve been running events since 2009 at a volume of 500 or more per year. That experience shows in how events are planned, managed, and adjusted on the fly when they need to be. Clients come back year after year not because they have to, but because the event delivered.
We build our activities around TV formats people already know: Amazing Race, Game Show, Taskmaster, Survivor. No explanation period, no warm-up required. Everyone’s on board from the first minute.
Geelong Team Building for Every Occasion
Our most popular Geelong bookings include EOFY celebrations, Christmas parties, and new starter onboarding events, occasions where a team genuinely deserves something worth their time. We also run quarterly team days, conference breakout sessions, leadership offsites, and milestone and anniversary events. Whatever brings your group together, we’ll make sure it’s worth showing up for.
